I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that every person’s story deserves to be understood.
I view healing through a holistic lens, recognizing that your culture, relationships, family systems, and lived experiences shape how you understand yourself and move through the world. As a first-generation Korean American, I bring cultural humility and a deep appreciation for the ways identity and connection influence our experiences of healing. I strive to provide a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel seen and supported as you explore your experiences, build insight, and create meaningful change.
With over eight years of experience in behavioral health, I have supported individuals across the lifespan navigating trauma, post-traumatic growth, substance use and co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and trauma-informed, grounded in psychodynamic, attachment-based, and relational-cultural perspectives while incorporating CBT, DBT, ACT, and parts work. As a certified yoga instructor, I integrate mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic practices when clinically appropriate to support emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and mind-body connection. I believe healing begins with understanding the whole person and the experiences that shape who we are. My role is not to tell you who you should become, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, values, and authentic self. Together, we explore patterns, beliefs, and protective strategies that may have once served an important purpose but may no longer support the life you want to create.
I am a member of the Utah LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapists Guild and a recipient of the NBCC Minority Fellowship Program for Addictions Counselors (MFP-AC). Outside of therapy, I enjoy practicing yoga, traveling, exploring different cultures and cuisines, spending time in nature, and continuing my own journey of mindfulness and personal growth.
