Everyone deserves a place

Person Centered Empowerment is the heart of my mental health passion. I firmly believe that the capacity to find acceptance, heal and problem solve is found within each individual. As a school counselor and a mental health professional I have strong beliefs in identifying core values and achieving goals that bring an individual to self actualization (their best self). I strive to establish a caring, compassionate, safe, comfortable atmosphere, in which we explore the unique circumstances as it pertains to each individual's journey.

In clinical practice I have training in grief and loss counseling, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy. I am willing to explore other methodologies as is needed for each unique individual. My journey to serve in mental health began as a young adult working in an inpatient psychiatric unit, then as a case manager for Valley Behavioral Health. I turned to school counseling to have a larger impact in the younger population. I am now pursuing my Clinical Mental Health Degree to increase my ability to serve my students, their families and the community better. I look forward to meeting you on your journey and traveling together as we explore how you can self-actualize. As Mahatma Gandhi shared, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
