I believe therapy is

a collaborative effort with the goal being to assist clients in attaining goals set for their treatment. My specializations include working with clients who suffer from issues related to anxiety, depressive symptoms, self-esteem/self-worth, substance use problems, work-related issues, relationship conflict, breakups/divorce, familial discord, and issues related to race, culture, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Middle East Technical University in 1993 and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah in 2002.

I have been practicing psychotherapy for about 20 years. My approach is strength-based, non-judgmental, culturally competent, flexible, outcome-oriented, and evidence-based. Past or current trauma is part of most symptoms, and I apply trauma-informed approaches to treatment. My goal is to help you develop a healthy perception of yourself, strengthen the relationships around you and ultimately live your best, most fulfilling life.

We will accomplish this by working together to build a treatment plan with realistic goals.
